Would Bond wear those? Daniel Craig steps out in boyish orange laces at Paris premiere

He may be the king of cool, but Daniel Craig appears to have borrowed shoes from Jedward.

The Bond star was on French soil for the Paris premiere of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, stepping out in a pair of Nike trainers with bright orange laces.

His shoes were rather ill-fitting with the blazer, buttoned-up shirt, tie and fitted jeans he also opted for.

His casual footwear clashed with the immaculately dressed Rooney Mara, who looked typically striking in a black LBD speckled with sequins.

The rising star, 26, who was also joined by co-stars Stellan Skarsgard and Elodie Yung, braved the chill minus her tights and kept her sultry look fixed firmly in place.

Perhaps Craig chose his footwear for an easy sprint back to the hotel; after arriving in Paris with Rachel Weisz ahead of the red carpet event.
The pair were spotted touching down at Roissy Airport - and despite not being renowned for his love of photographers, Craig managed to flash them a smile.
They were clearly besotted with one another as they clung to each other while strolling hand-in-hand, both hiding beneath their celebrity shades and hats.

The Lovey Bones actress Rachel looked simple but chic in fitted blue jeans and a pair of black ankle boots, which she teamed with a striped sweatshirt and suede beige jacket with an inner fur trim.

Daniel opted for a similar style, kicking back in his denims, but obviously keen to stick with a stylish approach by complimenting the outfit with suit shoes, a flat cap and aviator jacket.

Having married in June 2011, this Christmas would have been the pair's first as a married couple.

The notoriously coy couple wed in a private New York ceremony, with only four guests in attendance, including Craig's 18-year-old daughter Ella and Weisz's four-year-old son Henry.

Despite their whirlwind romance which surfaced following their time as co-stars on Dream House, Craig and Weisz had been friends for many years.

While Craig is now busy focusing on his latest Bond venture with Sam Mendes, his A-list reputation did little to pull in box office ratings.

However despite the David Fincher film - which cost $90million to make - only raking in $72m, movie bosses are still going ahead with a sequel.
A Sony representative revealed that the second book from Swedish author Stieg Larsson's trilogy, The Girl Who Played With Fire, is set to be adapted by the same team.
He said: '[Dragon Tattoo] continues to do strong business and nothing has changed with respect to development of the next book.'
