He'll be back in the limelight promoting four films this year, so what better way to kick start 2012 than with a magazine appearance.
Ewan McGregor proves he's still got what it takes as he poses for the camera in this month's issue of GQ.
Wearing an array of designer suits, the 40-year-old actor looks suave and sophisticated.

In one shot, McGregor is seen smoothing back his slick hair as if he is checking himself out in a mirror.
The Scottish star looks rather dapper wearing a navy blue suit with a checked shirt and grey skinny tie.
And he continues the theme of grey and blue throughout the photo shoot as he poses by a vintage car and against various white backdrops.
As he modelled garments of the likes of designers Calvin Klein, Gucci and Simon Spurr, McGregor spoke up about his family, his films and his future.

He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife of 16 years Eve Mavrakis and their four daughters, but he's not bothered about being outnumbered.
'I never feel battered by it,' he told the monthly magazine. 'I wouldn't have it any other way.'
The Trainspotting star has quite a busy year ahead of him as he prepares himself for the promotion of four upcoming films.
However, as he chatted away with GQ, it was a film of his past that he was commenting on.
It's been reported that a 3D version of Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phanton Menace is going to be re-released soon.
Not outnumbered: McGregor told GQ that he doesn't feel battered by the fact that he lives with five females: his wife and their four daughters

'They're actually going to release it into the cinema?' McGregor asked surprised. 'Well, that's interesting.'
McGregor played a young Obi Wan Kenobi in the hit movie and went on to star in two more of the George Lucas films.
But it seems after he's finished promoting his latest releases which includes fantasy film Jack The Giant Killer and action film Haywire, McGregor would like to become a sculptor.
'I like the idea,' he said. 'Just me alone, making something - that solitary existence.
'And when you come out you're back into the house with the kids. That would be perfect.'
Unaware: McGregor also admitted that he had no idea that studio bosses plan to re-release a 3D version of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in which he played a young Obi Wan Kenobi
