A supermodel dinner... straight for the champagne? Twiggy and Brooke Shields cling to each other for balance after their date

Twiggy and Brooke Shields appeared to have skipped dinner and gone straight for the champagne as they wobbled out of The Wolseley.
The former supermodels looked a little merry last night following their belated New Year dinner together at the central London restaurant.
As they stepped out to greet photographers, they clung to each other for balance, with 6ft beauty Brooke putting a protective arm around Twiggy.

The Chalet Girl actress, 46, wrapped up warm in a black winter coat and ruffled scarf; but opted to go out minus her tights in nude heels.

Twiggy, a former judge on America's Next Top Model, showed off her flair for fashion in a bright red cloak and leopard print shoes.

The 62-year-old blonde looked only too happy to meet the waiting paparazzi, beaming away as if the street was her catwalk.
Brooke's career began in 1966 before she had even reached her first birthday; starring in an Ivory Soap campaign at just 11 months.
In early 1980, the 14-year-old Shields was the youngest fashion model ever to appear on the cover of the top fashion publication Vogue.

Two years earlier, she had had already ventured onto the silver screen before becoming a teenager when she starred in Pretty Baby, a movie in which she controversially played achild who lived in a brothel.
She has also just finished a stint on Broadway playing Morticia in The Addams Family.
Twiggy, meanwhile, is the icon who coined the waif figure and pixie hair crop when she catapulted to fame in the 1960s.
