'I haven't been on a date in forever': Serena Williams reveals love life is slow as she unveils demure new outfit for Australian open

She may be one of the greatest women's tennis players of all time but when it comes to her love life, it seems Serena Williams isn't so successful
The 30-year-old yesterday lamented her bad luck with the opposite sex, claiming she is so picky that it has stopped her from going on any dates.
Serenas' revelations came as unveiled her new outfit for the Australian Open in Melbourne.

The blue dress by Nike, featuring white detailing and a pleated skirt, is a far cry from her sister Venus's fashion choices, who has in the past worn rather outlandish attire on court - including a black and red lace corset-style ensemble.Perhaps Serena's new style choice will help attract some admirers.
Speaking ahead of the event, Serena said: 'I haven't been on a date in forever.

'Ican be super picky, never satisfied.
'It's a little crazy right now because there's so much going on that when I'm not playing tennis I don't sleep because I'm always doing something.'
When asked what she looks for in a man, Serena, who has scaled back her criteria, joked: 'Anywhere between 18 and 80, blonde, purple or green.'

Her flattering look was inspired inspired by a gladiator-style dress she wore 2004.

But the five-times winner of the Australian open is currently contending with an injury and despite being well enough to practice, could not giveher ankle a clean bill of health just four days before the tournament starts.
'The ankle is better. I'm taking it a day at a time,' Williams, whose last tournament prior to Brisbane was atthe U.S. Open in September, said.
'It's not 100 percent, but it's better than it was last week and that's always a step forward.'
Injuries have already robbed the tournament of two major drawcards in seven-times grand slam champion Venus Williams, suffering from illness, and German world number 10 Andrea Petkovic, who has a bad back.
Three-timesgrand slam champion Maria Sharapova was forced to pull out of Brisbane with an ankle injury, while 20th-ranked Italian Flavia Pennetta retired hurt with a back injury in the final of the Auckland Classic against China's Zheng Jie on Sunday.
Theraft of injuries may be a headache for organisers, but had left the field wide open for a dark horse to gallop to the title, according to former Wimbledon champion and TV pundit Pat Cash.

'Tennisis a brutal sport. You can be fit as hell doing gym work and running but once you get on the tennis court and start playing matches, it's tough,' the Australian said.
Cashhas pinpointed world number two Petra Kvitova as a good bet to seal hersecond grand slam trophy after the Czech continued to improve after storming to the Wimbledon title last year.
'She is probably going to be the only player around the mark going in with real form and confidence,' he added.
