Christina Aguilera stepped into the shoes of her favourite role; to play the doting mother.
The Genie In A Bottle star treated son Max to a Legoland boat ride for his fourth birthday yesterday.
Clutching the wheel, the adorable tot steered them around the water, proudly wearing his red cap emblazoned with the logo of the theme park.

Aguilera's boyfriend Matthew Rutler, 25, was also on hand to celebrate the special day, but watched from the sidelines as the pair went for a spin alone on the miniature lake.
The mother-of-one seemed just as excited as Max as she tweeted a snapshot of the day, with the caption: 'Spent today at Legoland with the love of my life. Happy bday Max!'
The Voice judge attempted to dress incognito, hiding beneath large shades and a hat, but her peroxide locks and leopard print cardigan were immediately recognisable as the Dirrty star.
She disguised the top half of her curvaceous figure beneath loose-fitting clothes, but defiantly showed off her shapely legs in figure-hugging black leggings.

The 31-year-old has recently come under fire for gaining weight, but the pop princess insists she is happy with her new body.
Christina explained: 'I have a boyfriend that loves my body. I love my body, my son is healthy and happy and that is all that matters.
'Women, we are definitely under a microscope and under massive scrutiny. As long as I am happy in my own skin, that is all that is all the confirmation I need.'

In a separate interview with America's Marie Claire magazine, the blonde bombshell said she is finally 'very confident' with her body.
She said: 'When I worked on Burlesque (in 2010), I lost so much weight that I was too skinny... I don't weigh myself; it's all about how I feel in my clothes.
'I happen to be very confident in my own skin. It takes time to get to that place, but it's all about embracing yourself and your body.'
Max's father Jordan Bratman separated from Christina in October 2010, before their divorce was finalised in April last year.
