Talent shows have a tendency to be more about the presenters and judges than contestants.

But this year, Dancing On Ice appears to be sidestepping headlines as Christine Bleakley intends to cover up in the rink.

The former Daybreak host says she will avoid plunging necklines at all cost - as she can't compete with predecessor Holly Willoughby.

Holly, who is surrendering her spot on the show to present new BBC series The Voice, was rather notorious for her daring and eye-catching dresses.

Her ample bosom allowed her to fill an array of frocks, leaving her the envy of women across the nation as men didn't mind their wives tuning in.

Christine told The Sun: 'I did like the way Holly always wore her long dresses and it suits the occasion here. I'll probably go long on Sunday.

'Maybe a bit of sparkles but no cleavage! I'm lacking in the Holly Willobooby department. I'll keep it simple.'

Strangely, the This Morning beauty, 30, was a late developer, revealing: 'It's ironic that I became a Wonderbra model because my nickname at school was "Flat-chested Holly". Mother Nature kicked in almost overnight.

'As a kid I always wanted to be older and to start putting on mascara. I wanted to grow up and develop curves. It was ridiculously weird that my chest later became a national talking point.

'At the time I couldn't help but wonder if people didn't have more serious things to think about.'

Holly kicked off the first season in 2006, with co-host Phillip Schofield and went on to do six series, before Christine stepped in.

Christine, 32, added: 'I'm definitely nervous. It's such a huge set and it can be overwhelming but it's great Phillip's alongside me and there is a lovely team and crew behind the scenes.'

Frank Lampard's other half competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2008; so understands the pressure of performing in front of millions each week.

The Northern Irish beauty said: 'I know that when you are on a show like this, you are completely out of any comfort zone... so I will defend them.

'I understand the stresses and strains of it all and, as much as you try to be tough about it all and keep it in perspective, to stand there and have the judges be a bit critical or indeed hurtful is not the easiest of situations.'

Bleakley and professional dancer Matthew Cutler were the eleventh to be eliminated in series six, which saw Tom Chambers crowned as champion.

  • Dancing On Ice starts tomorrow at 6.30pm on ITV1
