But once upon a time, Zooey Deschanel was more frumpy than quirky hipster.
The New Girl star, who is also the face of Rimmel London, was a fan of unflattering separates and dresses - a far cry from her coveted new style.

The 31-year-old now prefers a more bohemian look and spends around £1,400 on clothes every month.
The actress recently split from husband Ben Gibbard and was forced to state her expenditure in divorce papers, filed by Deschanel's lawyer and posted on TMZ.

They state that she makes an average of $95,000 a month and spends $22,500 on clothes, her mortgage, health care, holidays and the like.
The 500 Days of Summer star, who has been nominated for a Golden Globe, also give $1,500 each month to charity.
The couple, who have been married for just two years, announced their split last month.
