(NEW YORK) Calvin Klein, Inc. is crossing the border to bring home the Canadian bacon by unveiling its new 6,100 square foot boutique this evening in Toronto's Fairview Mall. To kick off the grand opening up north, boy band heartthrob Joe Jonas is scheduled to make a PA, fending off a gaggle of girls to belt out poppy hits from his first solo album, FastLife.
As for the store, the black and white themed brick-and-mortar outpost will offer a full range of ready-to-wear, denim, footwear, fragrance, and accessories, including eyewear, handbags, and leather goods, for men and women. Currently, there are two Calvin Klein shopping dens in Canada: one at the Marche Central in Montreal, and the second at Heartland Town Centre in Ontario. A fourth location will open its doors in February at The Shops at Morgan Crossing in British Columbia.
“We are pleased to open our third Calvin Klein store in Canada, and view this as the beginning of a long-term relationship with Canadian consumers,” said Calvin Klein, Inc. president and CEO Tom Murry in a statement. “Over the next few years, we plan to steadily continue to expand our presence in the region as we feel strongly that the vital and thriving Canadian marketplace is an excellent place to showcase the Calvin Klein brand lifestyle and merchandise.”
Forty Calvin Klein boutiques are in the pipeline for Canada, set to roll out one by one in the next five years.
