She's the girl of the moment who can do no wrong, so it wouldn't really matter if she emerged on live television in a bin bag.
However, Rooney Mara took inspiration from the notorious nun habit, by stepping out in a black creation with white neck detail.
The star, who secured her first major Hollywood role in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo U.S. remake, appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon - revealing the film has 'a lot of nudity and violence'.

The 26-year-old has been relentlessly promoting her new film, in which she stars alongside Daniel Craig, to coincide with last night's U.S. release.
She graced the NBC studios at the Rockefeller Center in the Rodarte dress for Open Ceremony, paired with black Prada ankle strap heels.

Mara, who uses her middle name instead of her birth name Patricia, scooped her hair into a ponytail with her iconic sweep fringe in place.
Mara revealed she hasn't even seen the film in which she stars, despite being nominated for a Golden Globe Best Actress Award.
Fit of the giggles: Jimmy had Rooney in hysterics talking about her family Christmas traditions
She confessed: 'I haven't seen it! We had three premieres in three countries in three days... but for two of them we didn't even stay, we just got on a plane right from the red carpet.'
In the film, originally a Swedish thriller based on the crime novel by author Stieg Larsson, Mara has to strip off and recently revealed in a separate interview with Allure that she had no qualms doing so.
She said: 'Nudity is such a huge part of the character in the book, so I never thought twice about it.
'There was no time for hesitation. I didn't have time to second-guess anything or be scared; I just showed up and was comfortable.'

The brunette beauty even got a nipple piercing for authenticity, adding: 'I'm naked quite a lot in the movie, and I thought, she has it in the book, and she should have it in the movie.
'Because of all the tattoos and the make-up and the piercings, and the physical transformations my body has to go through, it would always feel sort of like I was in costume, even if I was naked.
'It just felt like a good one to get - a necessary one to get.'
But with racy scenes aside, Mara focused on some slightly more wholesome material with Fallon, speaking of her unusual festive family ritual, which involves sitting on 'Santa's lap'.

She said: 'My dad is one of 11 children. There's over 40 grandchildren and every Christmas Eve we go to their house (grandparents) and they have Santa come and we sit on his lap to get our present.
'It's really embarrassing. You have to do it until you're married and everyone in my family gets married really young.'
Fallon couldn't hide his laughter, saying: 'So it's just you and the little kids!'
Prior to her recent success, Mara had starred in small television roles and tasted fame after being cast opposite Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield in The Social Network in 2010.
