The Christmas number one has always been a subject for debate, with critics saying the X Factor makes it impossible for anyone else to get a look in.

So this year's winners Little Mix have gone back to their roots in an attempt to make it to the top of the charts.

The girls released their debut single, Damien Rice's Cannonball, in the hometown of members Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirwall.
