She was a favourite to win the show from her very first audition.
And now voting statistics from this year's series of The X Factor have shown that Janet Devlin was a firm favourite among the public - until forgetting her words saw the teenage sensation voted off the show.
Janet, 17, topped the public vote four times during her time on the ITV programme, more than any other act.

And it wasn't until week seven, movies week when Janet sang Sixpence None The Richer's Kiss Me, that her popularity with the public began to fade.

The voting statistics also show that this year's runner-up, Marcus Collins, never came above second place, and only found himself in second twice during the 10-week run of programmes.
Meanwhile, girl group Little Mix, who were crowned the winners of The X Factor tonight, topped the public vote three times.

And Amelia Lily, who was voted off the programme on Saturday night, topped the public vote twice.
Janet made a return to The X Factor last night alongside her fellow axed contestants, performing a mash-up of hit chart tracks.
Following her exit from the show, which came after she managed to forget the lyrics to her song MMMBop, Janet said she believes she was never right for The X Factor.

She explained: 'I'm not X Factor material, and I've said this from the audition, I'm just who I am. I don't think it's what The X Factor wanted.
'I'm just glad they still gave me the opportunity to be on the live shows.'
Little Mix's winner's single Cannonball is out now.
