She spilled the beans last month that BFF Beyoncé is having a baby girl.
And Kelly Rowland plans on putting in plenty of baby-sitting hours to make up for it. But the impending birth of her old band mate's daughter isn't make her broody.
When asked in the January issue of Marie Claire magazine whether she is feeling the pull of motherhood, the 30-year-old insists: 'No. I will babysit and change a diaper or two, and then give it back.'
Not broody yet: Kelly Rowland discusses motherhood and why she can wait in a new interview with Marie Claire magazine
'I do want kids,' she adds, 'but every time I think about a little person growing inside of me and getting bigger and bigger and then having to come out...a watermelon coming out of something the size of a lemon is insane to me.'
For her cover shoot for the magazine, Kelly reclines on stairs in a fuchsia floral dress with a plunging neckline.
In another shot she crawls on a table on her hands and knees in a black feathered number, showing off her trim figure.
'Nothing is fake': The X Factor judge says everything on the ITV show is organic
Soaring star: Rowland has seen her profile rise significantly in the UK since joining the X Factor panel
Kelly confides in the interview that she hates her bottom, and reveals that the secret to her enviably toned body is hard work, and not eating after 7pm.
'My friends hate that about me,' she says.
'They all want to go out to eat around 9pm and I'm like, "Er, unless I'm going to wait three house for this to digest, I'd rather not."'
Rowland, who shot to fame in the Nineties as part of Destiny's child, has seen her profile rise significantly in the UK since signing on as a judge on the X Factor.
And while yesterday the show was yet again plunged into a 'fix' row over her contestant Amelia Lily's 'winner's single' going up on the HMV website, Kelly says she likes how 'real' the show is.
'What I like is that it's very organic,' she says. 'What you see is what you get. Nothing is fake. We'll agree, we'll disagree and sometimes we have to agree to disagree.'
Kelly will go head to head with her fellow judges this weekend in the final of the X Factor.
