Katherine Jenkins and Gethin Jones are 'heart-broken' after calling off their engagement.
The Welsh couple, who have been dating since 2007, have mutually decided to end their relationship.
The classical singer, 31, and TV presenter, 33, both revealed their split with simultaneous announcements on their Twitter pages.
It's over: Katherine Jenkins and Gethin Jones, pictured at Royal Ascot in June, have split up after four years together
Devastated Jenkins wrote: 'Sorry for being quiet of late, its just that I have some very sad news. Geth & I have decided to go our separate ways.
'We are both beyond broken hearted. All your hugs & support will be much appreciated xxx.'

And her ex-fiancé added: 'Hi everybody. I'm deeply sad to tell you that Kath and I have ended our relationship as a couple. We are both heart broken... Gx.'
The couple became engaged in February while on holiday, but a close friend of Jenkins told the Mail: ‘Katherine and Gethin simply couldn’t make it work. They really did try, it wasn’t just work pressures – they had bigger problems that were insurmountable.
‘They stayed together for as long as they could, but in the end it just became clear that a wedding was never going to happen.’
The pair started dating in late 2007 after meeting on the set of Strictly Come Dancing, which Jones was participating in, while Jenkins was a guest performer.
Gethin's parents Goronwy and Sylvia said they were surprised at the break-up because they were a 'lovely couple'.
Sad news: Jenkins revealed she had split from Jones on her Twitter page today
Heartbreak: The TV presenter confirmed the split on his Twitter page
Retired headmaster Goronwy, 63, said: 'We are very sorry they have decided to part.
'Katherine has been very kind to us and the two families got on very well together. They were a lovely couple together - everyone thought so.
'All we can do is wish them both well for the future and support them both as they got on with the rest of their lives.'
Former Blue Peter host Jones has now moved out of the £4.7million home they shared in Richmond, South West London, friends revealed last night.
Mr Jones refused to comment on the reasons for the break-up.

The couple announced their engagement in February after the presenter proposed with a £10,000 diamond ring on a boat in Mexico the previous month.
In October, Jenkins told the MailOnline they were struggling to find time in their busy schedules to set a wedding date.
She said: '2012 is such a huge year, we’ve got the Olympics happening, the Queen’s Jubilee, my sister turns 30, there’s so many things happening that it doesn’t leave us with much time.
'We will do it, just not yet. There’s no rush. We will get round it.'
And in interview with the Mail On Sunday's You magazine a few weeks ago, Jenkins said she was looking forward to starting a family with her handsome boyfriend.
Expensive: Jenkins was wearing her £10,000 engagement ring on December 7 when she posed for a Twitter photo with Mark Wright
She enthused: 'I'd like to have a family of my own - slip away for a bit and do nothing but spend those early years with my children.
'I'd like to think I can come back, but I believe children are a gift and I want to enjoy them some time in the next few years. Gethin does too.'
The couple first met in 2005 when Jenkins appeared on Blue Peter, which Jones presented at the time.
Although he fancied the singer, as she was in an other relationship at the time, Jones kept his distance until fate brought them together again two years later.
The presenter recalled earlier this year: 'She was with someone else so that was it. There was an attraction from my point of view but I’ve never, ever chased a girl that I’ve known has had a boyfriend. It’s not my style.

'When I met her on Blue Peter I thought she was amazing. She was so patient with the film crew and the kids.'The twist of fate with Strictly was two years later. That was a special night. We met and had a drink after she sang on the show. I thought she was incredibly down to earth. But she had an early start the next day so I thought that was it.'
The couple's love split comes just a month before Jenkins is set to commence her new tour at Oxford's New Theatre on January 7.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Jason Statham brought the heat to Miami - and plenty of it - as they put on a steamy poolside display today.
The couple were pictured rolling around a large sun lounger at their hotel in full view of fellow guests.
A delighted-looking Jason, 44, was grinning from ear to ear as his 24-year-old Victoria's Secret model girlfriends climbed on top of him.

The Transformers beauty went in for the kill, sharing a lingering kiss with her boyfriend of almost two years - while her hands went wondering.
Enamoured Snatch star Jason and Rosie then posed for a picture, which he snapped on his camera phone, before she rolled over and smoked a cigarette.
Rosie showed off her toned stomach in a animal print boob tube, teamed with rolled up grey tracksuit bottoms.

Rosie slipped into a bikini which she teamed with a see-through USA flag print crop top.

According to Mail On Sunday reporter Katie Nicholl, Transformers star Rosie was left home alone for much of the summer.

Statham had been spending time in Florida re-shooting love scenes with Jennifer Lopez for their forthcoming film Parker, and Rosie was back at their Beverly Hills home after working in London.
Devon-born Rosie recently splashed out on a New York pad to share with her beau.
But she recently confessed to being homesick, saying: ‘I miss England, especially the culture and camaraderie.’
However, her spokesman said: ‘Rosie and Jason’s careers are super-successful and so they are apart sometimes, but she isn’t lonely and neither is her relationship on the rocks.’
Stunning: A natural beauty, Rosie was simply captivating
Cooling down: The couple kept refreshed with some beverages

Hoodie Harry is having a (snow)ball as he hurls them at unsuspecting passers by on skiing break in Klosters

Bad weather may have temporarily put his skiing holiday on ice, but that wasn’t going to stop Prince Harry having fun.
He decided to amuse himself instead by throwing snowballs from a balcony at unsuspecting passers-by in the Swiss resort where he is staying.
The 27-year-old prince, who is third in line to the throne, ducked quickly to avoid detection after hurling each snowball on to the busy street below.
Fire! The prince lets fly as his friend, Tom Inskip, right, looks on at their hotel in Klosters where Harry will celebrate New Year with his friends
A snowball-wielding Harry prepares to launch at a target, left before readying to strike, right, whilst Inskip amused by the prince's antics
With a cigarette in one hand and a snowball in the other, the Army Air Corps helicopter pilot, who wore a grey hooded top, was beside himself with laughter as he and best friend Tom ‘Skippy’ Inskip, 25, enjoyed their childish prank on the restaurant terrace of a boutique hotel.
An onlooker said: ‘They seemed to be having the time of their lives, giggling like schoolboys. I saw at least one snowball hit someone, but whenever people would look up to see where the missile had come from, they would hit the deck.’
Harry flew to Geneva on an easyJet flight on Thursday with a group of male friends for a New Year break, his first ski holiday since a family trip to Klosters in 2005.
But he was unable to hit the slopes yesterday after heavy snow, high winds and avalanche warnings shut the ski lifts.
On Thursday night he was spotted in one of the resort’s nightclubs, dancing energetically to house music and sharing a magnum of vodka and a magnum of champagne with his friends.
One reveller said: ‘There were girls flocking round his table throughout the night, and he didn’t seem to mind.’
Doctor Who star David Tennant to tie the knot in New Year's Eve ceremony to former Timelord's daughter

Doctor Who star David Tennant will be getting married to the daughter of former Timelord Peter Davison today, the Daily Mail can reveal.
The dashing actor, who is credited with helping to revive the BBC sci-fi series, will tie the knot with pretty Georgia Moffett in an intimate New Year’s Eve ceremony in London.
The couple already have a baby daughter called Olive, who was born in March, and have been making plans to marry ever since Mr Tennant proposed last Christmas.
Happy couple: Georgia Moffett and David Tennant are to marry in an intimate New Year's Eve ceremony in London
Last night, a friend said: ‘David and Georgia can’t wait to get married, they are madly in love.
‘They have tried to keep everything quiet and the wedding is for family and closest friends only.’
Proud: Davison with daughter Georgia
Even by a Time Lord’s standards, their romance is a fairly head-spinning concept.
Mr Tennant, 40, who played the tenth Doctor who, met his fiancée when she had a guest role in a 2008 episode – playing the Doctor’s daughter, Jenny.
Miss Moffett’s father, in turn, had played the fifth Time Lord.
The blonde actress, 27, whose mother is actress Sandra Dickinson, already has a nine-year-old son called Tyler whom she gave birth to in 2002, when she was just 17.
She brought him up alone and has never publicly revealed who the father is.
She then set up home with her Where The Heart Is co-star Adam Harvey in 2004. The couple split up two years later but they remained friends and Harvey continued to be a presence in her son’s life.
Mr Davison, 60, has said of his daughter’s relationship with Mr Tennant: ‘It’s great because David is a genuinely nice guy.
'I’m delighted Georgia has found happiness because she hasn’t always had an easy life.’
Speaking about his future son-in-law, Mr Davison told the Mail in July that Mr Tennant was ‘besotted’ with his baby daughter.
He said: ‘I suspect that, crucially, Georgia wasn’t overawed by David. He’s a really nice guy, but a lot of people are intimidated by actors who’ve played The Doctor. I’ve been asked to pose for photos with fans who’ve been shaking beside me, just because I played The Doctor.
Nice guy: Peter Davison, left, has said he is delighted that his daughter will marry David Tennant
‘I suspect that goes on too with David, who, like me, is intimidating without doing anything to intimidate. Georgia was able to get over that, partly because she’s strong and courageous, and partly because she grew up around an actor who played The Doctor. She was never fazed by meeting TV actors when she was a child – it’s second nature to her.’
He said the couple would opt for a conventional and un-showbiz wedding, saying: ‘I very much doubt they’ll have a Doctor Who themed wedding, for example. I don’t think that’s their “thing.”’
Mr Davison, who also has two sons by his second wife Elizabeth Morton, was the Doctor that Tennant loved watching when he was growing up.
And it appears the admiration is mutual. Davison told the Daily Mail that Tennant was ‘a very fine Doctor Who’.
Prior to dating Mr Tennant, Miss Moffett revealed in an interview: 'David is dishy, isn't he? He's not only a good-looking but he is such a lovely, sweet guy.'

Mr Tennant and his fiancee may already have a minister on stand-by to oversee their nuptials.
The actor’s father is the Rev Sandy Mcdonald, a former Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. His beloved mother Helen died from cancer in 2007.
Miss Moffett is not the first actress whom Mr Tennant, whose role was taken over by Matt Smith, has dated.
In October 2007, He parted ways with actress Sophia Myles after a two-year relationship, following her move to Hollywood.
They, too, met on set - when Myles played Madame de Pompadour in a 2006 Doctor Who episode.

Thrilled: Helena Bonham Carter is made a CBE in the New Year Honours list
Helena Bonham Carter tops the bill for showbusiness honours as she is made a CBE.
The Oscar-nominated actress is recognised for her services to drama following her performance as the Queen Mother in The King’s Speech.
She is joined by Ronnie Corbett, who is also appointed a CBE, writer and broadcaster Clive James, CBE, TV presenter Lorraine Kelly, OBE, former It’s A Knockout host Stuart Hall, OBE, and actor David Harewood, MBE.
Miss Bonham Carter, 45, said she will accept her appointment in memory of her father, Raymond, who died in 2004 after many years of serious illness following a brain tumour.
She added: ‘I am thrilled, though not sure that I deserve it.
‘I always thought my father deserved a medal for facing 25 years of chronic disability with quiet daily heroism so I am delighted to accept such a wonderful honour in his memory.
‘I am wondering does it mean I get to command, because at the moment it’s my four-year-old daughter who does the commanding in our household. Must inform her of the change in situation.’
The mother of two made her Hollywood breakthrough 25 years ago with her role in A Room With A View.
Since then, she has appeared in blockbusters including Fight Club, Alice in Wonderland and Planet Of The Apes – where she met her partner, film director Tim Burton.
Famed for her eccentric style of dressing, all eyes will be on her when she meets the Queen – who is said to have enjoyed the actress’s portrayal of her late mother.
Ronnie Corbett’s CBE will go alongside the OBE he was awarded by the Queen in 1978 along with his long-term comedy partner Ronnie Barker.
Proud moment: Lorraine Kelly's OBE was awarded for services to charity and the Armed Forces
The 81-year-old is rewarded for his services to entertainment and to charity after more than 50 years on TV screens.
Previously, the diminutive star questioned why there were not more talented entertainers receiving honours.
Lorraine Kelly’s OBE was awarded for services to charity and the Armed Forces.
The 52-year-old former GMTV presenter launched UK Armed Forces Day in Edinburgh this year. Last night she said: ‘I’m so thrilled and deeply honoured.’
Starting her career in journalism on her local paper, the East Kilbride News, she soon moved to broadcasting, becoming Scotland correspondent for TVam.
Happy: Stuart Hall's OBE is for services to broadcasting and charity
The mother of one has supported a number of charities including Poppyscotland, Freedom from Fistula and the Muscle Help Foundation, as well as raising money for Comic Relief.
Clive James, who arrived in Britain from Australia in 1962, receives his CBE for services to literature and the media.
A father of two, he is married to academic Prue Shaw. He was diagnosed with leukaemia, kidney failure and lung disease in 2010, but is now recovering and continuing his work.
Stuart Hall’s OBE is for services to broadcasting and charity. The 82-year-old presenter, who hosted It’s A Knockout for ten years in the 1970s and 1980s, continues to work as a sports reporter for BBC Radio 5 Live.
David Harewood receives his MBE after starring in the ITV series The Vice and portraying Nelson Mandela in a one-off BBC drama.
The 46-year-old also played Martin Luther King in the stage production of The Mountaintop, which won Best New Play at the Olivier Awards and has recently transferred to Broadway with Samuel L Jackson playing the lead role.
He told the Daily Mail: ‘I’m absolutely chuffed and nearly fell off my chair when I read the letter.’
Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's What Are You Doing New Year's Eve duet becomes YouTube hit
By Mike Larkin

She is the hipster favourite noted for her studious quirkiness.
And Zooey Deschanel gave her legion of fans a special festive surprise when she teamed up with her (500) Days of Summer co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt for a special duet.
The pair performed a twee homemade cover of What Are You Doing New Year's Eve, which has since became an YouTube blockbuster.
SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEO....
Blockbuster: Zooey Dechanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's performance of Frank Loesser's What Are You Doing New Year's Day has become a YouTube hit
The video has been watched more than 2,500,000 times since it was posted just two days ago, and has garnered 46,000 'likes'.
And viewers of the video were immediately struck by the chemistry between Zooey, who recently separated from her husband, and hunky Joseph.
And in her post for the video, the 31-year-old gives the Inception star a glowing appraisal, saying: 'I have known Joe Gordon-Levitt for going on 12 years.
'We first met in the summer of 2000 while doing a tiny movie called Manic, where we bonded over a mutual appreciation for Harry Nilsson and Nina Simone and I have been lucky enough to call him one of my dearest friends ever since.
Sharing a glance: The pair often looked into each other's eyes during the amusing performance
Ukelele virtuoso? Zooey had to look closely at her fingers when she made chord changes during the performance
'When we did 500 Days of Summer 8 years later, we spent every lunch hour dancing to Marvin Gaye in the hair and make up trailer; we had loads of fun.
' I hope to do a thousand more movies with him because he's simply the best. But in the meantime, we made a little New Year's duet for all of you! The original by Nancy Wilson, enjoy.'
Good chums: Zooey and Joseph have been friends since starring in 2001 flop Manic together
The tongue-in-cheek video, which was recorded in mirror mode, shows her hilariously playing a guitar ukelele and staring at her fingers when changing chords.
Joseph, 30, also proves to be a surprisingly capable guitarist, and he has little trouble finger-picking while singing along.
Whether their version of Frank Loesser's classic tune lives up jazz legend Nancy Wilson's, or Barry Maniloe's unforgettable cover is open to debate.
But quite what her Death Cab For Cutie star husband Ben Gibbard will make of their very friendly duet, in which they frequently look into each others eyes and smile, is anyone's guess.
But her fans were quick to comment on the sizzling chemistry shared between the pair.
A fan called Ryan Neilson said: 'Are you kidding me? Did everyone else see the way she looked at him.'
And another added: 'Oh god, you guys just get married already.'
However a host of fans also made a series of altogether more fruity suggestions about their relationship.
Of course the video is not the first time Zooey has showed off her musical skill, as she has been a member of folk rock outfit She and Him since 2008, and has contributed songs to films including Elf and Winnie the Pooh.
Joseph is also no stranger to music, as he joined a musical theater group at the age of four and even played the Scarecrow in a production of The Wizard of Oz.
Out of the two movies the pair have starred in together, 2001's Manic was a flop.
(500) Days of Summer was a completely different story, with the low budget romantic comedy grossing $60 million at the box office and being lavishly praised by critics.
Life imitating art? The internet was abuzz with speculation the pair were hooking up like their characters in (500) Days Of Summer
